Microsoft Word has allowed me to do almost all of my schoolwork starting as early as 1st grade. I have used Microsoft Word for essays, responses to questions, to create study guides, and so much more. I have seen my teachers use Microsoft to make exams, take attendance, make worksheets for class, as well as make homework. Microsofts possibilities are honestly endless, and for that reason it is such a strong classroom tool.  My experience with copyright for the most part as been good throughout my years as a student. I have made sure to be very careful to not commit plagiarism because I know the severity of the repercussions of it. As a teacher, I would instill in my students the severity of plagiarizing. Through instructional materials I would show my students how to properly use sources for their schoolwork assignments. For example, I would use a mock source to show them how to properly use the information at hand, while still making sense of what they are talking about....

I believe that what influences students and teachers to use technology in the classroom is society. I believe that because society has evolved into such a technologically advanced present, that it pushes those living in its era to use it as well. In terms of technology in the classroom, along with society pushing for its use, technology helps the process of educating students. Technology helps teachers teach in a more hands on way through certain functions. One standard that I found to stand out to me was that of standards for educators. I never thought of educators as people who are still learning. Typically, when I think of a educator I do not attach learning with them. I realized though, to become a good educator you must stay up to date on your material. Along with the material the educator is responsible for teaching, educators have to be somewhat efficient in the new technology used to teach students in society today. Hello! My name is Lauren Exposito and I am a senior at Florida State University. I am originally from Teaneck, New Jersey, but have grown up in Boca Raton, Florida, the majority of my life. A fun fact about me is that I am one-hundred percent Hispanic. My mom being from Colombia, and my dad from Cuba. I hope this gives you somewhat of a background on who I am!  My prior experiences using technology consists of the use of multiple forums. Here at Florida State, I have taken the CGS graduation requirement course which taught me different ways to use Microsoft Excel. Along with Excel, I have used platforms such as Prezi to make powerpoints slightly more enhanced than those of Microsoft. Lastly, I have used websites like Twitter and Facebook to create pages just for my classes. Using Twitter, I would post short topics and respond to my peers as well.
